First–ever Varanasi–manufactured biscuit exports to Oman
Under the India– Oman CEPA, India dispatched its first-ever Varanasi–manufactured biscuit exports to Oman. Thereby, an international consignment of 40 metric tonnes of biscuits was sent leveraging duty-free benefits. Moreover, APEDA facilitated the shipment from the Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Kanpur.
The historic milestone reduces trade costs and boosts the global competitiveness of Indian processed food products. Furthermore, India will sign an MoU to supply nearly 700 MT of biscuits to Oman and other GCC countries throughout the 2026- 27 FY.
Indian Biscuit Supplier for Oman
Several Indian biscuit suppliers serve Oman, though many have established distribution networks there. Most importantly, brands like Anmol Industries and Shree Tirupati Balajee Industries provide the quality and flavour that the importers desire.
In fact, the India– Oman CEPA has enabled duty-free access for biscuits manufactured in India through preferential tariff benefits. Therefore, this makes Indian products more competitive in the Omani market. Henceforth, the price competitiveness leads to increased export volumes and repeat orders from the importers.
