What is IEC?

IEC stands for IMPORTER EXPORTER CODE. In India, no export or import shall be made by any person without an Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) number if not precisely excused. In India, IEC Code is a distinctive 10-digit code issued by DGFT- Director General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce, and Government of India to Indian Companies.
