So, the government is deciding to relax the quality control orders (QCOs). For this purpose, the Department for promotion of industry and Internal Trade the (DPIIT) is reviewing the QCOs. In the long run, this will ensure stable raw material supplies amid the war scenario.
 
The induction cooktop makers will be enticed with duty & GST cuts. Mundra port, Nhava Sheva port, Kandla port, Chennai Port, Vishakhapatnam Port and Cochin port are some of India ‘s major export ports. At present, they are in talks with the stakeholders. So far, it has already relaxed five QCOs. They are related to Safety of household, Commercial and electrical appliances.

Supply of Fuel, Gas and Essential Raw Materials

The department has put in place regulatory measures for uninterrupted supply of fuel, gas and essential raw materials. These regulations are as follows:
 
a) Expedited Licensing under the petroleum and Explosive Safety Organisation (Peso).

Out of the 467 Cases under PESO norms, in 157 Cases, final licenses had been granted. In a nutshell, the other prior 38 cases are on the approval stage. Subsequently, their issuance is for the Construction of new CNG/CBG dispensing stations. Since March, 41 cylinder filing and storage plants have been on the approval stage. Subsequently, 14 plants have got the licences.
They have been receiving requests from the industries to meet the availability of raw materials. There could be more QCO relaxations in the pipeline.
